Mini Mosaic Florals 4 months agoLiking how my florals turned out! The chalk paint was surprisingly easy to work with (but I did paint after finishing the majority of the mosaic — oops — so I used painters tape on everything to protect it). The last picture shows how bright the purple is a little better. Now to figure out a place to hang them!

Well done, Anna! They are all so charming and tidy! Your bead spirals are so precise! I can see the benefits of painting after too to get the colors just right. 🙂 Glad you like the chalk paint!

Mini Mosaic Florals 4 months agoAfter watching Sharra’s lesson about grout, I got the courage to paint my grout black. I’m glad I did. I think the black is better. Just posting in case it’s helpful for anyone considering painting their grout. Going forward, I will definitely make my grout much darker!!! Moving on to my next floral!!

Mini Mosaic Florals 4 months agoI’m slowly making my way through the course and just realized that I used my gold smalti for the inside of the ceramic flowers, in the background of one of my frames. Off to plan B with either beads or stained glass from my stash!!! Sigh.

HI Tracy, gosh, I’m not sure what happened with your kit missing all these items, I’m so sorry! I’m going to reach out to you by email and sort this out. Some notes: My 2 ranunculus flowers are made with glass tile. I switched the thin wood frame for an EZ frame because I changed direction midway through the mosaic. I’ve got 3 more in process and I’m loving making these!
